All right, the next round of requests are up, at least the first four of them. I'd say four should be a pretty good number per video. Lets there be a good variety among the matches while not being so long that I run out of description space.
Something I should get out of the way first: One of the requests was vague. More on that when I get there.
Match #1
Brinstar Depths
Timed Stock (3 Stock, 5 Minutes)
I AM PLAYER 1 (Ness)
Opponents:
Player 2: ミニフー('~`) (Minifu) (Olimar)
Player 3: MiMingqlu (Zelda)
Player 4: Thornberry (Wii Fit Trainer)
Music: "Vs. Ridley"
Boy, did this one go on for quite a while. It felt way longer than 5 minutes. Well, in a sense, it WAS longer than 5 minutes due to lag, but luckily, the lag here was so small that I could play normally. I'll bet that Olimar player was Japanese too, so the distance has to be at least the length of the Pacific Ocean. It took me a bit to remember that the PSI Magnet can absorb the whirlwinds generated by the Ore Club, as they count as energy projectiles. Still, pretty neat to see Olimar and Wii Fit Trainer in this one, two characters who are not easy to use. Oh yes, and my using Ness with the Mr. Saturn T-shirt was a request by diddyknux. (And yikes, did Zelda's GSP fall!)
Match #2
Dream Land
Timed Stock (3 Stock, 5 Minutes)
I AM PLAYER 1 (Roy) (Super Mario)
TEAMMATE: Skadoosh (Dark Samus)
Opponents:
Player 3: SoundGator (Yoshi)
Player 4: butt (Daisy)
Music: "Floral Fields"
The next person to give me a request was CosmoManiaBruce, who asked me to use Roy. I asked for clarification, whether this should be the Roy from Fire Emblem or the Roy from Super Mario, but CosmoManiaBruce never replied back. Hence, I took a guess and chose Roy Koopa. In this match, well, it felt like Skadoosh did all of the work for us. Me, I was just the target for the Blue Team members to attack, but I did last long enough that I didn't have to borrow Stock from Skadoosh. That Yoshi did not seem used to the high winds emitted by Whispy Woods. I wonder if these are settings SoundGator doesn't play on much.
Match #3
Bridge of Eldin (Omega)
Timed Stock (3 Stock, 3 Minutes)
I AM PLAYER 1 (Inkling)
Opponents:
Player 2: びーすけ (Bisuke) (Ike)
Player 3: haha (Olimar)
Player 4: JLTheFlash (Lucas)
Music: "Overworld Theme - The Legend of Zelda (Brawl)"
Omega conditions and no items. But I guess it's okay to mix things up once in a while. Theoretically, the Inklings should have an advantage in Omega due to their longer-than-normal range style, though this was a 4-player free-for-all and Lucas is also quite adept at fighting at those ranges. But it's that Ike that I realized I needed to watch out for. This time, it's not because of lag, but the Ike player is just very good...though I have no clue why he was so fond of Aether suicides. Was he that confident of winning? Also, this was Keegster23's request for me to use the purple Inkling. I hope I chose the right one, as there is also a fuchsia one and an indigo one.
I'd like to mention that the several seconds of the game freezing most likely meant someone got disconnected then. You can tell when someone has been disconnected because nobody's GSP changes at the end, as is what happened here.
Match #4
Living Room
Timed Stock (3 Stock, 6 Minutes)
I AM PLAYER 1 (Pichu)
Opponents:
Player 2: Jace (Link)
Player 3: Sean (Lucas)
Player 4: ML ☆ Kevin (Incineroar)
Music: "Bathtime Theme (Vocal Mix) (for 3DS/ Wii U)"
The next request is from ShadowWolfTJC, who specified Spiky-Eared Pichu. I actually had a match I didn't keep where I won using Pichu and ended with 8 KOs, but I already had Luigi's Mansion in the previous video, and I admittedly coasted to victory riding on Tiki's attacks. I picked this one instead, where my accomplishments were largely my own. I had shown Pichu prior, but I didn't really understand Pichu's strengths then. Now I do: Pichu not only has a substantial speed advantage over Pikachu, but Pichu also deals more damage and has much higher launch power in all of her more powerful moves, which counterbalances Pichu's very low weight and self damage through electric attacks (and some of Pichu's non-electric ones too). Watch Pichu KO Lucas at 57%, for instance, who wasn't even hear a boundary. I did find out that Pichu's Thunder now passes through all structures, however, meaning Pichu will always take 3% damage. (In Melee, Thunder could be blocked by solid ground, and if done so, Pichu will not damage him/herself.) No matter who I'm playing as, though, I have a tough time dealing with a camping Incineroar, especially if one other player is determined to fight me instead. I do not want to let an Incineroar player Blofeld themselves to victory. (And when I used Incineroar in the Mushroom Kingdom stage, you'll see that I would not do that myself either.)
Would any of you be interested in that Luigi's Mansion match though? Please let me know in the coments.
Also, my requests are not done yet. They will continue in the next video.
