CINCINNATI (WKRC) - You don't have to be a car enthusiast to be impressed with all of the cool cars on the floor of the Duke Energy Convention Center this weekend.

Sunday is the final day of the 57th annual Cavalcade of Customs, and you can even meet a famous car builder and painter.

Gene Winfield has been building and painting cars all over the world. You've probably even seen his work on popular movies and television shows like Blade Runner, Get Smart, RoboCop, Back to the Future II and many, many more.

Winfield says his love of creating is what inspires him when he builds cars.

“I like to create; I like to do things that are different. All my life I’ve created and tried to outdo the other guy who’s building cars--all over the world," said Winfield.

But he doesn't just build cars. Winfield also paints them too. He's even created what's called the "Winfield Fade," a paint-blending technique where the paint fades from the top of the car to the bottom. 

“I just love it. That’s my life; I build cars and paint them," he said.

You can see Winfield and many other people and attractions at the Cavalcade of Customs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $17 for adults, $6 for kids 6 to 12 and it's free for kids 5 years old and under.
