Low back pain, or back pain in general, can be caused by a myriad of things, but when you realize what food can do to your muscular stability, you help to remove a major culprit of low back pain. Eating food that disturbs and inflames your gut will cause the intestines to swell. This, in turn, requires your core muscles (stabilizers) to reduce their muscular activity in order to allow room for the swelling to occur. Your body will prioritize organs over muscles as they have a greater responsibility for keeping you alive! If you eliminate processed foods and high sugar foods, you will help keep your gut healthy and in turn keep your stabilizers active. When stabilizers of the spine (for example) do not work properly, joints can go beyond proper ranges of motion which can cause shearing and torsion (aka pain). The longer this occurs, the more wear and tear goes into your system.
