Learn how to stretch your hip flexors! Hip flexor mobility is important for everyone, especially those who do a lot of sitting due to their job or lifestyle. The iliopsoas AKA the psoas AKA the hip flexors can be chronically tight in many athletes from many different sports but can also be seen in desk jockeys. Tight hip flexors can lead to excessive anterior pelvic tilt which throws your center of gravity forward, causing your shoulders to round and your head to stoop forwards in turn causing a hump in your back. This hip flexor stretch targets both hip flexors at once and can be done throughout the day, before training, or after training.
