One of the main themes I impart to my students is the love for DYNAMISM in the practice. Being dynamic is a crucial part to the Ashtanga practice, and at the root of dynamism is the ability to know how use the transitions to ready your self for the next position. To preset your position by orienting youself properly from the beginning helps you experience the practice as continuous and seamless. By developing precision and skill you are able to go into and come out of postures in single gestures that ou are more able to move with confidence. In this video I teach you the basics of how you can begin working on dynamism, why it is crucial to learning Ashtanga, and how it can bring the practice to life.
