My novel 'Darwin's Adders: A Chronicle of Pagan England 2089' has been published on Amazon Kindle. It went up a week ago and I have just finished some post-publication tidying up after spotting a dozen typos and grammatical errors on the download. It is a speculative futuristic fiction work which considers the impending fall of western civilisation and what might happen next. There is more information about the book on Amazon, go to Kindle store and search under Stephen Hayes. NB there are several other authors of the same name. It is not up to me to say this is a good read or go for a hard sell, but it is as entertaining and well written as I could make it. Although the subject matter is as heavy as it gets I hope it is readable and will appeal to all thoughtful people. If there is enough interest I may publish a longer version, 'the authgor's cut' as I cut a lot out of reflection to make it easier going for the general reader. The idea came after a C S Lewis conference I attended at Saint Stephen's College in Oxford in June 2009 and owes several key themes to his 'tall tale about devilry', That Hideous Strength.
