MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Keep Mobile Beautiful is helping keep trees out of area landfills by giving away free mulch on Saturday. Many citizens of the Port City contributed to the event by donating their discarded Christmas Trees to the organization. That's where our friends from Mobile Forest Products comes in. They will grind the trees for us, turn it into a wonderful smelling mulch and people can use it in their gardens, instead of sending trees to the landfill, said Bob Haskins of Keep Mobile Beautiful.Gardeners can use the mulch to retain moisture in flowerbeds and keep weed growth down.
