Cops, Crowds Swarm Malls for Last Minute Shopping

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) With last minute shoppers checking off their lists, this weekend people packed the malls in Mobile and police monitored closely. Mobile police reported four thefts and one break-in at Bel-Air Mall on Saturday. MPD has two eye in the sky surveillance towers set up, one in the Springdale Mall parking lot and one in the Bel Air mall parking lot. But officers cant be everywhere, they are warning shoppers to keep their bags close and their wallets closer. Allison McDowell and her sister spent Saturday last minute shopping together. They traveled in packs and came out early to snag the deals. Im a big procrastinator, but it looks like everyone is, McDowell said, its been really crazy.especially at the mall.
