Jury Selection Begins in Former SFHS Football Player Rape Case

BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WPMI) Jury selection began Monday morning in one of the two rape cases against a former Spanish Fort High School football player.

Deon Johnson, 20, is accused of raping a 15-year-old in a bathroom back in 2012.

If convicted he faces up to life in prison.

A trial date has not been set in the second case, in which Johnson is suspected of raping a 16-year-old girl in Daphne.
