Former Alabama QB Blake Sims Weighs in on Lane Kiffen to 49ers Reports

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) -- ESPN reported on Sunday afternoon that Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin is a front runner for the same position with the San Francisco 49ers.
Kiffin's first season in Tuscaloosa was a great one -- in fact it was one for the record books. The Crimson Tide averaged 490 yards on offense in 2014, and a large part of that was Kiffin's development of quarterback Blake Sims.
"I really haven't talked to him about it, but I know he's going to make the best decision for him and his family," Sims, who is in Mobile for the Senior Bowl, said on Monday.
Of his first and only season with Kiffin, Sims said "it was great. His personality helped me out in a lot of ways. I was never uncomfortable around him. He made me feel great during game time, during practice. I was just grateful to be under his wing and for him to coach me in my last year."
