The late great Warren Zevon was perhaps better known as a songwriter than a performer, but i am sure his fans would disagree with me! His 1978 hit 'Werewolves of London' was a rare time when HIS name and HIS face were adorned on covers. He also penned some great hits for other artists such as Linda Ronstadt (who memorialised this post's song on her million selling LP 'Simple Dreams'), 'Poor Poor Pitiful Me' was recorded by its composer on his 1976 eponymous LP. It 'sings' the virtues of this most distinctive and prolific voice in American pop culture. Enjoy!
