I'm putting up more of these right now due to a few setbacks over the week--you see, my replacement laptop battery had come in, and I had a few problems along the way. The battery's been replaced, so now I'm good to go. In this video, Musashi takes on the Elite Four. I'm sorry, I mean the Council of Four. These are the strongest Sushimancers the Empire has to offer, as well as the strongest fighters in the Empire, at least officially. (There are a few Imperial Soldiers and project supervisors later on who are even stronger, but they're not in any positions of security.) The Council of Four are named after different types of spellcasters: Meyj, Sorser, Warloc, and Wizird. You'll soon see what their theme is.
MEYJ
Wani-o (Buff Buffet)
Unikan (Double-Edged Lanes)
Kumaten (Double Shot)
Wani-o is General Kodiak's signature Sushi Sprite. As you might recall, Wani-o's Buff Buffet allows the user to link plates of different colors together, though they'll manifest as low-ranked plates. Well, Councillor Meyj has some better ideas of how to use Buff Buffet than Kodiak ever did, because he uses Unikan to speed up his own lanes so more plates to link can come by before Buff Buffet ends, and by using Double Shot, he essentially throws two of those SUPER tall stacks Musashi's way. This is a taste of how the Council of Four works--the game isn't pulling any more punches as far as Sushi Sprite combinations work.
SORSER
Kama-o (Wasabi Blast)
Faeten (Sushi Shuffle)
Golekan (Claustrophobia)
Kama-o is General Ausprey's signature Sushi Sprite. The old man has since moved to the Puzzle Hut to supervise that facility (and he's doing it legit--no wasabi there), leaving Wasabi Blast duties to Councillor Sorser...and those guys in the Facility. Wasabi Blast is a disruptive ability, and Faeten and Golekan are there to make it more likely for Musashi to gobble down wasabi by messing with her ability to pink plates and obscuring the available sushi, respectively. Also, Kama-o's Wasabi Blast is maxed out, causing there to be an absurd density of wasabi in Musashi's lanes. You have to see it to believe it.
WARLOC
Plasm-o (Luxury Flash)
Owlten (Table Chop)
Crowkan (Blackout)
Plasm-o is General {Purrsilla's signature Sushi Sprite. Luxury Flash, if you've forgotten, bestows immunity to the user to any stack that once contained at least one plate of Salmon or Tuna sushi. There is no way for a Luxury Flash user to get around someone who expects it coming (and I should have seen it coming) and picks Sushi Sprites without Salmon or Tuna in their menus, but if they do (as is with me), Table Chop will slow them down drastically while Blackout makes it a lot harder to find where to link plates together, let alone those without Salmon or Tuna. Honestly, not a lot of Sushi Sprites have neither in their menu at this point, though basic Salmon, as a yellow plate dish, won't be in that many of them.
WIZIRD
Wani-o (Buff Buffet)
Kama-o (Wasabi Blast)
Plasm-o (Luxury Flash)
The leader of the Council of Four, Counsellor Wizird, uses all three of them in one lineup. To be honest, this guy was not that hard to beat compared to the three before him, as these Sushi Sprites don't have much synergy with each other. However, Wasabi Blast does make it tougher to deal with Luxury Flash.
Defeating the Council of Four...shows nothing about how they react to it whatsoever, but Musashi is in a hurry to reach the Emperor's chambers. And he is the only adversary left. Musashi and Jubay will take on the antagonist of this game in the next video.
