MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) Local law enforcement swarmed the Bel-Air Mall on Sunday,searching for a shooter and clues in a terrorist attack. 

The surprise attack was entirely staged as a part of the FBI's Active Shooter Training drill.

Officials with the Mobile Police Department, Mobile Fire and Rescue, MPD's SWAT Team, the Department of Homeland Security, the District Attorney's Office and the FBI trained together to prepare for the unpredictable. 

The scenario was a scary one
