MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) The Mobile Fire Department is doing more than putting out fires.

Friday marked the beginning of the Mobile Firefighters 'Fill the Boot' campaign benefiting families and children who are living with muscular dystrophy.

The firefighters are at several intersections collecting money from drivers to fill their boots. Fire-Rescue crews will be out for the 'Fill the Boot' campaign every Friday and Saturday throughout the month of March.
