You’ll receive the sun visor, a microfiber cleaning cloth, and a quick start guide. The sun visor consists of an adjustable plastic grip and two acrylic light filter visors, one amber and one gray. Both visors have protective plastic sheeting on both sides when you receive them. The grip on top is adjustable and there is a tab which allows you to expand the grip. Simply lift the tab and pull on the upper portion of the grip to extend it. The width of the grip extends from 4.75” to 7.5” and you don’t need to pull the tab to retract it, just press the top side in. The size of the visor is 12.5” x 4-5/8” and they have rounded smooth corners. They swivel on the mount so you can use one at a time.

The amber colored visor is for use at night to reduce glare and reflection from lights and oncoming headlights, and during the day you can move it up towards to you out of the way and use the gray UV filter. When it's sunny out and there’s a lot of glare and bright haziness from strong sunlight, when you put the visor down, it really does make the scene more clear. Kind of like wearing polarizer sunglasses. In addtion, you should be able to also wear sunglasses while using the UV visor without completely occluding your vision. One minor complaint I have is that with the top down in a convertible there’s a noticeable reflection on the filter’s front. In a regular sedan, or with the roof up in a convertible, the reflection is not as visible. Another problem that SUV drivers might encounter is that the visor mount may not be big enough even at full expansion, for example here on the Nissan Pathfinder I was unable to mount the sun visor to the existing visor.

Overall, this 2 in 1 sun visor does reduce glare at night from bright lights and cuts down on harsh sunlight during the day time without the need for sunglasses, but be aware that it may not fit on all existing visors especially if you drive a large vehicle, so check to make sure your visor is narrower than 7.5” across for compatibility.
